At the local cemetery in Vrsava, wreaths were laid on Wednesday at the defender Iva Matuslović (1957-1993).
On the 06.12.2017. when is the day of St. Nicholas, the sailor’s patron saint, was sacred in the church of St. Mihovil in Vrsi and laying the wreath at the monument of Sv. Nicholas on Mulo, where recently is set up the Rose of the wind. With the arrival of the wreaths, the members of the “Sveti Nikola” Seafarers’ Association, members of the KUD Sv. Mihovil, Priest Alojz Knežević, Mayor Luka Perinić, Councilors and Municipal Workers, and Municipalities of Vrsi Municipality. After the priest had prayed for all the sailors, the wreath was laid in the sea in honor of all the seafarers of the world. Sailboats, let’s always have a quiet sea!
On Saturday 16.09. the Memorial football tournament Frane Vukić was held in honor of his 46th birthday. Prior to the tournament, candles and flowers were placed at the Vrsi Cemetery. After praying, everyone went to the Gusterna playground where a tournament was played which won MNK Jadran Vrsi. We thank the team of Zadarski list for participating and co-organizing. By laying wreaths and burning candles in the morning in front of the central cross in the local cemetery of Vrsi, and on the graves of Ivica Matuslović and Frane Vukić wreaths were laid. The event was attended by pastor Ivica Bašić with the municipal delegation headed by chief Luka Perinić. At 18h was held a solemn session in the multimedia hall in the municipality. Krešimir Laštro, head of the Zadar County Office for the Sea and Tourism, Emil Ćurko, Mayor of the City of Nin, and Dalija Pavlović Peroš, Deputy Mayor, came to the meeting. Mayor Kristijan Kapović with his deputy mayor and councilors came from the Municipality of Vir. The local residents of the Vrsi Municipality were also introduced. After a solemn session, a reception was held for all guests, and then all of them went to Riva, where the Day of the Municipality of Vrsi was organized. Thanks to our guests: KUD Sv. Lovre Vrsi, KUD Gospa Lurdska, the Vista group from Zadar and the Iskon klapa. Thanks to all the locals who came to celebrate and hope everyone has had fun.
